- All members of the medical community are invited to attend. The White Mass, named after the white coats worn by medical professionals, was established in the 1930’s. The White Mass is intended to bless the entire medical profession for the coming year. Doctors, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners are invited to wear their white coats and be a part of the procession at the beginning of Mass. You are also invited to a reception following Mass.
