St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Picayune is seeking a fulltime Catholic Youth Group Minister / Director of Religious Education to join our parish community! You will educate students and lead the program of our evangelization in the faith at various age levels.
 

Responsibilities:

• (DRE) Director of Religious Education Program
• Manage and educate students in a classroom setting
• Coordinate and animate the adult volunteers that assist this ministry
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
• Adhere to established teaching curriculum
• Maintain positive relationships with students and parents both in person and through social media
• Document and share student evaluations
• Maintain the health and safe environment standards for all students
• Control and document ministry finance
• Coordinate Youth events and activities (fundraising, retreats, parties)

• Appropriate theological/educational background
• Example of upstanding moral and spiritual life as well as good standing with the Catholic Church
• History of commitment to the Catholic Faith
• Previous experience in Catholic Faith Teaching 
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to animate youth and build rapport with students
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership qualities
• Ease with social media
• Team spirit
