St. Alphonsus in Ocean Springs is hosting a three-day Lenten Mission with a journey through the Scrutinies led by the Franciscan Friars of the Holy Spirit, from the Diocese of Phoenix, Arizona, March 20-24, 2021.
The mission team of Fr. Antony Tinker, FHS, and Fr. Athanasius Fornwalt, FHS, will guide the participants on a journey with the Holy Spirit, beginning with Daily mass at 8:15 AM, Bible Study to follow at 9 AM, and Nightly programs at 6 PM. The Friars will walk the participants through a personal discovery of how the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, is working in their daily life. Monday’s theme will be The Woman at the Well, with Eucharistic Adoration / Healing of the Heart Meditation at 6PM. Tuesday’s theme will be The Man who was Born Blind, with a healing mass at 6PM. Wednesday’s theme will be The Raising of Lazarus, with Empowerment Night at 6 PM.
Please all are welcome! A freewill offering will be taken up each night to assist the Friars with their expenses and with their mission to the Native Americans in Laveen, Arizona.
