This annual diocesan award is given to select adults for their long term commitment to youth ministry in their parish or diocese. These adults have given more than their time. They have been consistent examples of their Catholic faith, as well as shown leadership and service both to and with young people they serve.

Requirements for Nomination

1. Nominees must have a minimum of five years of service in youth ministry. (Recognizing that many adults minister to high school age youth, nomination of parish high school catechist, youth advisors, teachers, coaches, as well as pastors, associate pastors, DRE’s, Confirmation Coordinators are all eligible for nomination.)
2. All nominations must be made on the official nomination form. If you would like to duplicate the form please do so, but try to use the same fonts.
3. Parishes can nominate more than one adult. Each nomination much have a minimum of five recommendation letters. List on the cover sheet the fives letters you would like the awards committee to strongly consider first.
4. All nomination materials must be turned into the Office of Youth Ministry as a single completed packet. All nomination packets must be completed and turned into the Office of Youth Ministry by the deadline stated in the convention packet.
5. Adults can be nominated more than once during their years of service, but only receive the award one time.
6. All nomination packets become the property of the Office of Youth ministry and will not be duplicated or returned to the winner or any other persons, including the nominator, or parish. Please make needed copies before you turn in the packet. No exceptions to this rule will be made.
7. All pages should be typed and put into a three ring binder. Do not put each page in a plastic sleeve.
