The Diocese of Biloxi is looking for someone to coordinate benefits for all diocesan employees and maintains the personnel records, updating as required. This person will, also, assist the Vicar General in all administrative needs for the office. They will complete updates as needed, including those for the Kennedy Catholic Directory, as well as completing the Status Animarum and Diocesan Statistical Review. This is a full-time position with benefits and requires the signing of an Oath of Confidentiality.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES
Create and maintain personnel files
Review Code of Conduct and Diocesan Policies with all new team members
Assist Vicar General in all clerical needs.
Assists new team members with the onboarding process, including benefits enrollment, code of conduct, and payroll setup.
Administrative Assistant to the Vicar General, which includes managing all correspondence, clerical needs, phone calls, and calendar management.
Yearly updates for the Kennedy Catholic Directory including updates due in December.
Complete Statistical Overview and Status Animarum- due at end of each calendar year.
Create and maintain personnel files for diocesan level team members.
Possess ability to manage several tasks simultaneously with successful outcomes to all.
Practice a high degree of confidentiality working with sensitive and confidential information.
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES
Collaborate with Diocesan Leadership Team for functions and initiatives
Provide support for diocesan functions as needed inside and outside of the Chancery offices.
Maintain a welcoming and organized work area.
Provide support for other diocesan offices as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma minimum
Experience:
At least 3 years’ experience in related field.
Spiritual Aspects:
Must understand the mission of the diocesan Church and be willing to witness to the Great Commission of Jesus as disciple.
Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the teachings of the Church.
Must be committed to being on mission with the diocesan leadership
